Considerate Parking within Our Community

Staffordshire Police is aware of concerns from residents regarding inconsiderate parking in local neighbourhoods.

Vehicles parked on pavements, across dropped kerbs, near junctions, or in a manner that obstructs pedestrians, wheelchairs, pushchairs, and other road users can cause frustration and create unnecessary safety risks.

In many cases, parking enforcement powers sit with the local council, who are responsible for dealing with parking restrictions, yellow lines, and other civil parking issues. Residents experiencing ongoing parking problems are encouraged to report these concerns directly to their local council's parking enforcement team.

Staffordshire Police will continue to deal with vehicles that are causing a danger, obstruction, or are parked unlawfully where police powers apply.

We would ask all motorists to park responsibly and consider the impact their vehicle may have on other members of the community, particularly vulnerable road users and emergency service access.
